In the early 1960s, my father, Phil Iaconis, opened his law practice in Madison County. His practice quickly began to concentrate in representing injured workers in the New York State Workers’ Compensation system. My father continued his private practice until becoming a New York State Workers’ Compensation Law Judge in the late 1960's. My father then returned to private practice, focusing on Workers’ Compensation cases in the early 1970's. My father was joined by my brother Paul in the late 1970's. The firm became known as “The Iaconis Law Office.” As my father looked towards retirement in the 1980's, he had a great concern for his clients and the residents of Madison County who still needed representation in the Workers’ Compensation system. My father and brother brought me into the office in the late 1980's to fill this role.
Under the supervision and training of my brother, Paul, I took over the growing practice of Workers’ Compensation cases until assuming full control of all Workers’ Compensation cases in the early 2000's. Since the early 2000's, I have provided representation in all manners of Workers’ Compensation claims for injured workers primarily in Central New York, but drawing on referrals from attorneys and doctors from as far away as Watertown, Rochester, Ithaca, and Albany. Even with a practice growing beyond the borders of Madison County, I always felt a loyalty to the community and residents of the county I was raised in, and have now practiced in for 30 years.
With the approaching retirement of my brother, Paul, it was decided long ago that I would carry on the tradition and reputation of the Iaconis Law Office in representing the residents of Madison County and the surrounding areas in both new and continuing Workers’ Compensation cases. In order to make these plans come true, I have decided to merge my practice with the law offices of Meggesto, Crossett & Valerino (MCV Law), one of CNY’s most well established and respected law firms. MCV focuses their practice on the rights of injured workers in connection with New York State Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability and other disability related claims.
I am excited to join the MCV team of experienced attorneys and legal professionals and the opportunities this provides. Perhaps what I am most excited about is that joining MCV allows me to maintain our practice in Chittenango, NY and to continue to represent the people of Madison County and the surrounding areas as I, my brother, and father have done before me, for more than 60 years. Our new firm will continue to build on the long standing relationships and principles of protecting injured workers rights that was the foundation of the Iaconis Law Office, and add the skills, experience and resources of MCV to provide the best and most complete representation for your Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability and other Disability related cases.
Now and in the years ahead, we will continue to build on the assets of both the Iaconis Law Office and MCV Law offices to become, Iaconis at MCV Law.
